Ethan Ducker, 7th grade
Ethan has a Masters in Education, a
California Multiple Subject Teaching
Credential, a Bachelors in Liberal
Studies and an Associates degree in
Liberal Studies and Education. He
has taught first grade, planned
lessons across the curriculum,
adopted ELA and mathematics
curricula. Although Ethan has
teaching experience with grades 1-5,
grades 4-8 are his “absolute favorite
age group”. His skills and interests
range from participating in IEP’s to
outdoor music festivals. His
facilitation of project based learning
includes plays, skits, art/science
integration, and debates. Ethan has
valuable experience as an aide to a
child with autism, and has received
training in Advanced Behavior
Analysis, a modality of teaching
people with Autism.
Ethan is an enthusiastic life-long learner, he is a Spanish speaker, is certified as a life guard and in wilderness first aid, plays the mandolin, harmonica, percussion and didgeridoo and incorporates music into the classroom and loves outdoor activities and sports. Ethan’s brings a Social Justice perspective through his degree from the esteemed Masters credentialing program at the University of California, UC Santa Cruz, and has developed a sense of “what it means to enact pedagogies that support all students’ learning and development in ways that work towards positive transformation in our local and global communities”. Ethan is looking forward to “building close relationships with students and families, through working collaboratively with my colleagues and students, and through engaging students in learning that is relevant and rewarding to them.
