Karen Mirabelli, REACH Director
Karen Mirabelli has been a visible and involved educator in West Sonoma County for over fifteen years. She has worked as an independent study teacher in the West Sonoma County Union High School District and in Pathways Charter School. For the past six years Ms. Mirabelli has served as the Curriculum Coordinator for Pathways Charter School. Prior to her work with Pathways and the high school district Karen was a Career Exploration/Job Training Teacher with West County Community Services.
Karen Mirabelli received her undergraduate training and bachelor’s degree from Marlboro College where she majored in Theatre and Art History. She attended Sonoma State University where she majored in Education and received her teaching credential in English. Karen brings a strong background and interest in curriculum and instruction to her new position. Karen has been a resource and advocate for understanding and addressing individual learning styles and multiple intelligences through differentiated and challenging student centered coursework.
Karen brings energy and enthusiasm to the position as well as familiarity with the REACH mission by having her own student in the program (7th grade Yzzy).
